Subject: am I doing the right thing?

Dear father DeGrandis:
I've heard you speak at the Pilgrim's of Faith Retreat and I got your Spiritual Warfare prayer when I was there last March. I honestly didn't put much stock into then and I purposefully hid the materials in my closet so I wouldn't have to deal with something so "scary". Well, I guess God has a different purpose for me.

Over the summer, my best friend said she'd given a bible as a gift to her nephew. Her sister-in-law reacted with hate and fear and no longer speaks to them. i comforted my friend and said I would pray for her and her sister-in-law. While praying I was consumed by extreme panic. I do not suffer from panic attacks, so I was confused. I surmised that the sister-in-law must be tempted by the spirits of fear and she is paranoid. rather than deal with the truth of the Bible, she banished my friend from her life. I reported the incident to my friend and continued to remember their truobles everytime I went to Mass. That fall, my 8-year old daughter started to complian of panic attacks. She become irrational at night and screamed in terror. She is seeing a Christian therapist and now a psychiatrist has put her on medications for Obsessive Compulive Disorder and anxiety. This extreme behavior occured so rapidly and int! ensly that the doctors suspect she may have suffered an infection that attacked her brain. It's still a mystery. And me, I'm normally cool-headed and rational have been plagued by panic as well. My youngest daughter keeps saying she's afraid. During these horrible incidences at night and find myself resenting my daughter and in my mind I hear the rationalization that if she doesn't "hear" my anger it won't hurt her. I know now that thinking anger was also demonic and that must only think of love, spoken or not.

I'm now praying to remove these demons from my family and home and pray and thank Jesus whatever chance I get. What else can I do (spiritually) to relieve my family of this terror?

Please help.

Dear Lisa,
Please offer up all of your past and present sufferings to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the conversion of sinners and for the souls in Purgatory. Give every suffering from the past, the entire load you've carried, to our beloved Savior; he eagerly awaits your gifts!

If you are able to, attend mass, receive the sacraments as frequently as possible.

I recommend the following prayers in the morning, mid-afternoon, and at bedtime:

Say the Spiritual Warfare Prayer every day for at least 30 days.

Then pray,"St. Michael the Archangel, protect us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Rebuke the devil, Oh God, we humbly pray, and do you, Oh Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast in hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen (to Our Father), and Amen (to His Son), and Amen (to their Holy Spirit). Thank you, God, and St. Michael!"

Follow this with, "Jesus, I forgive everyone for all of the sins they have committed against me. In your name, Jesus, and through the merits of your precious blood, I now command all devils, demons, evil spirits, especially the evil spirits of panic and anxiety and fear, to leave me and my family immediately and go to Jesus for disposition. Amen, and Amen, and Amen. Thank You, Jesus!"

Follow this with the prayer to your Guardian Angel, and thank your Guardian Angel.

Follow this with... "Mary, most loving Mother, please send your holy angels to gather around my family, and remain with me and every member of my family to help us, guard us, guide us, console us, and make us happy." Thank you, dear Lady!"

Don't forget to bless yourself and your children, your house (especially doorways, any openings) and automobiles at morning and night daily with Holy Water until the activity diminishes.

If you have any strange objects that could be occult, be sure to get rid of them immediately!

I, my wife, and Father DeGrandis love you, and we pray for your healing and that of your whole family.
